Our Story
From Naples to Temecula
Born in Naples, Italy, Chef Luigi Mazzaro discovered his passion for cooking in a culture where food, family, and hospitality are inseparable.
He studied the culinary arts and developed his craft around the bold flavors, simple ingredients, and time-honored traditions of Italian cooking.
After bringing those traditions to Southern California, Chef Luigi established Nonno’s Ristorante, where his passion for authentic Italian cuisine and warm hospitality became the foundation for what would come next.
Today, Chef Luigi continues that journey with Mazzaro’s Italian Chophouse in Temecula — a new concept inspired by his Italian roots and years of experience. Mazzaro’s combines the traditions of an Italian kitchen with the craftsmanship of a classic chophouse, from handmade pasta and traditional recipes to premium seafood and exceptional cuts of beef.

Antipasti and handmade pasta down one side of the menu, Prime and Snake River Farms down the other. Steaks, chops and fish come with a sauce and a side.
